Tequila and Mezcal

From agave to glass, tequila and mezcal tell a tale of heritage deeply rooted in Mexico’s cultural and agricultural landscape. Both spirits are crafted from the agave plant, yet each offers a distinct experience. Tequila, made exclusively from blue Weber agave, is known for its smooth, refined flavors, ranging from the bright freshness of unaged blanco to the oak-mellowed depth of añejo. Mezcal, on the other hand, can be produced from a variety of agave species, imparting a smoky, complex profile through a traditional roasting process that captures the raw essence of the agave.

While these spirits honor Mexican craftsmanship, a new chapter is being written by Black entrepreneurs entering the industry. These trailblazers are bringing diversity to a world historically dominated by legacy names, infusing each bottle with their unique vision while respecting the traditions that make tequila and mezcal so distinctive. Through their dedication, they are helping to expand and evolve the agave legacy, inviting drinkers to experience tequila and mezcal through the rich lens of innovation and Black excellence.
