Michael Lavelle Wines

Michael Lavelle Wines is a premium wine company co-founded by four Black entrepreneurs: Aaron "Michael" Coad, Terrence "Lavelle" Low, Devin Kennedy, and Brandon Crump. Established in June 2020, the brand aims to address the lack of culturally relevant wine craftsmanship targeted toward millennials and minority audiences.
The founders, who connected through various ventures in Washington, D.C.'s hospitality and nightlife scene, share a mutual appreciation for entrepreneurship. Their collaboration led to the creation of Michael Lavelle Wines, making them the youngest Black-owned wine company owners.

Tasting Notes:

• Iris Rosé: A blend of Cabernet and Pinot Grigio grapes, this rosé offers crisp flavors and fresh fruit aromas, including wild cherry, strawberry, and watermelon.

• Iris Zinfandel: Aged in French oak barrels, this limited edition wine presents notes of fresh blackberries, dark cherries, vanilla, and hints of cocoa.

• Iris Chenin Blanc: This varietal reveals ripe peaches, Granny Smith apples, and lemon zest, with crisp acidity and a medium mouthfeel.
