  • Meet the Founder

Edmond’s Honor was developed by Pronghorn, a company committed to diversifying the spirits industry, and crafted by master blender and liquid curator Tracie Franklin. Drawing inspiration from the remarkable legacy of Edmond Albius—a 12-year-old Malagasy botanist who revolutionized vanilla cultivation—Franklin created this bourbon as both a tribute and a call to action. Born on the island of Bourbon (now Réunion), Albius discovered a method for hand-pollinating vanilla orchids, shaping one of the world’s most valuable flavors. With Edmond’s Honor, Franklin not only honors his innovation and resilience but also hopes to inspire others to share their own stories and contributions with the world.
