Ntsiki Biyela is called the "First Lady of South African Wine" — and it's earned. She grew up in a rural Zulu village in KwaZulu-Natal, received a scholarship to study winemaking at Stellenbosch University, and became the first Black female winemaker in South Africa. She launched Aslina Wines in 2017, named after her grandmother. The Ndubs range is personal — it's inspired by her childhood memories and built for everyday moments, not just special occasions. This 2025 Red Blend is 91% Pinotage and 9% Shiraz, hand-picked in March, fermented in stainless steel, and bottled in June. Earthy, fruit-forward, and made to share.
