What kinds of spirits do you carry?
Whiskey, bourbon, vodka, gin, tequila, rum, cognac, liqueurs—you name it. If it’s Black-owned and high-quality, we’re trying to carry it.
Do you only sell Black-owned spirits?
Our focus is on Black-owned and minority-owned brands. That’s our lane. If we feature something else, it’s because it fits the mission and complements what we do
Can I shop by category?
Absolutely. You can filter by Black-owned, women-owned, HBCU-founded, Divine 9, LGBTQ-owned, and more.
Can I track my order?
Yes! Once your order ships, you’ll get an email with tracking info.
What if my bottle arrives damaged?
Let us know ASAP and check out our Return and Refund page. We’ll make it right.
Who handles shipping and fulfillment?
All UrFriendCharles alcohol orders are fulfilled by licensed third-party retailers in the Bottle Nexus network. We use them to ensure everything is handled legally and smoothly behind the scenes.
How long does it take to ship my order?
Most orders ship within 2–3 business days of payment. You’ll get a tracking number when it’s on the way.
How much is shipping?
Rates vary by location and method. You’ll see all options at checkout.
How long will delivery take?
Delivery depends on where you live and which shipping method you choose. Most orders arrive within a week, but delays can happen due to holidays, weather, or volume.

All alcohol orders placed directly through UrFriendCharles.com are processed and fulfilled by licensed third-party retailers in the Bottle Nexus network. We use this system to make sure everything is handled legally and efficiently. When we say “we” in this section, we’re talking about products listed directly on UrFriendCharles.com that are fulfilled through our Bottle Nexus integration.

🛒 What About Other Products?
I saw something from Urban Grape / TSR (Taste Select Repeat) / Wine Concierge—is that the same as UrFriendCharles?
Not exactly. We work with amazing partner brands like Urban Grape, TSR, and The Wine Concierge to feature more Black-owned and minority-owned spirits—but their products are fulfilled and shipped separately. Their shipping timelines and policies may differ. You’ll find more info about those on our upcoming Partner Products page or on their own sites.
What about Amazon products or other links I clicked?
Some of the products featured on the site—like books, bar tools, or accessories—are fulfilled through Amazon or other affiliate partners. These links will take you off-site to complete your purchase, and those companies handle your shipping, customer service, and returns.
We may earn a small affiliate commission from those purchases, but it doesn’t cost you anything extra. It’s just another way to support what we’re building here.

Why do you focus on Black-owned brands?
Because representation matters. Our mission is to help people vote with their dollar and support Black-owned businesses in real, tangible ways. Most liquor stores carry thousands of bottles, and it’s not always clear which ones are Black-owned or giving back to our communities. UrriendCharles exists to change that. This platform is here to highlight these brands, support the culture, and make it easier for all of us to discover, buy, and celebrate Black.
Why isn’t [X Brand] on the site?
The spirits here are by us, for everyone, and we try to be as inclusive as possible. Sometimes brands slip through the cracks, or we just haven’t connected yet. If there’s a brand you love, tell them to reach out—we’d love to feature them.
What about celebrity-owned liquor brands?
We’re not against celebrity brands at all—but we’re being selective. Our focus is on smaller, independent entrepreneurs who own their brands—not just celebrity faces. You might see some celebrity bottles in the mix eventually, but we’re starting by highlighting the folks building from the ground up.
So are you telling people not to buy non–Black-owned brands?
Not at all. Drink what you like. UrFriendCharles is here to expand your options and highlight underrepresented brands—not throw shade. Whether you’re loyal to something else or just curious to try something new, we’re here to give you dope alternatives and help you diversify your liquor cabinet.
I thought tequila had to be made in Mexico—how can a tequila brand be Black-owned?
You’re right—all tequila must be made in Mexico by law. But brands can still be Black-owned and source their tequila from certified Mexican distilleries. Most tequila on shelves comes from just a few key producers who make it for hundreds of brands with unique recipes and vibes.
Everything labeled “tequila” on UrFriendCharles.com is 100% legit and made in Mexico.

How do I get my favorite brand into my local store or bar?
Talk to the owner. Show them the brand’s page on UrFriendCharles.com. Let the brand know too. Store and bar owners often stock what people ask for, and your voice might be the push they need to bring something new in.
I run a bar, restaurant, hotel, or liquor store—can I buy wholesale from UrFriendCharles.com?

Who is Charles, and why did he start this platform?
I’m Charles—author, content creator, unapologetic nerd, and most importantly, your friend. I started this because I had trouble finding Black-owned spirits myself. Now, I’m making it easier for you to find, buy, and support them too.
