Meet the Founder
Ntsiki Biyela, born in KwaZulu‑Natal (1978), earned a full scholarship to Stellenbosch University from SA Airways after initial grant setbacks—having never tasted wine before—and graduated in viticulture and oenology. She became South Africa’s first Black female winemaker at Stellekaya in 2004, later launching Aslina Wines in 2016, named after her grandmother, to share her heritage and expertise. Her wines are celebrated for authenticity, sustainability, and empowering representation.
