Tiffany Capri Hainesworth is a trailblazer in the spirits industry, making history as the first Black woman to solely own a tequila brand—no celebrity backers or silent partners, just her own vision and grit. A native of Washington, D.C., Hainesworth spent nearly 30 years working in the federal government before a life-altering car accident and traumatic brain injury forced her to reevaluate her path. Determined to live life on her own terms, she pivoted from law enforcement to entrepreneurship.

Her journey took her directly to Jalisco, Mexico, where she refused to settle for a "white-label" product. Instead, she partnered with the family-owned Tequila el Tepozán distillery, ensuring her tequila was crafted with integrity, using traditional brick ovens and volcanic spring water. Hainesworth's hands-on approach and resilience have built a brand that stands as a testament to breaking barriers and pursuing excellence against the odds.
