Ira Blossom is the founder of Black King Games and creator of That's Dope: The Party Game for Strong Opinions. What started as a joke with friends and an Instagram account became a successful gaming venture in 2020, leading to the game's successful Kickstarter launch nearly four years ago.
With a unique background combining psychology, computer science, and cognitive studies from Villanova University, along with professional experience at Google, Ira brings both technical expertise and deep understanding of human behavior to game design. Since founding Black King Games, he has independently taken on the roles of creator, designer, and business owner, developing gaming projects focused on creating engaging experiences that spark more connections, conversations, and joy.
Based in New York, Ira's design philosophy centers on accessibility and versatility, incorporating diverse gameplay options—from intimate couples' sessions to competitive group challenges and networking icebreakers—ensuring the experience resonates across different social contexts and group dynamics.
