Lil Charles is the AI-powered spirit guide on UrFriendCharles. Growing up, “Lil Charles” was my nickname — my dad is Big Charles, of course. I built it to help answer one of the most common questions I get in my DMs: “What’s similar to this?” or “What should I get if I like that?” It helps people discover Black-owned bottles that match their taste.

Is my data safe?

Yes. Lil Charles does not store or access personal or sensitive data It only uses what you choose to share in the chat to help with recommendations. It is not connected to your order history or customer account information.

What if a recommendation is wrong?


Lil Charles is built to help, but it is not perfect. If something feels off, send me a screenshot at Charles@urfriendcharles.com and I’ll use that feedback to improve it.

Can Lil Charles help with cocktails or recipes?

Yes. You can ask Lil Charles for cocktail ideas, serving suggestions, or help finding the right bottle for a certain mood, event, or occasion.

How was Lil Charles built?

A lot of late nights, trial and error, and a real desire to help people at scale. I built Lil Charles because I could not answer every DM forever, but I still wanted to help people find Black-owned bottles they would actually enjoy.
