Meet the Founder
Melanie M. Shelby, a Sacramento native, transitioned from a successful 25-year career in politics to pursue her passion for tequila. Her journey led her to Jalisco, Mexico, where she immersed herself in the culture and traditions of tequila-making. In 2021, she founded Enelalma, an additive-free, prestige sipping tequila that honors the shared heritage of Indigenous and African American cultures. Melanie's dedication to excellence and cultural celebration is evident in every bottle of Enelalma.
