Jon’ll and Matthew Boyd, a dynamic couple and co-founders of Boyd Cru Wines, launched the brand in April 2023—the first Black family‑owned winery in Maryland. With grapes sourced from Maryland’s Eastern Shore and production in Poolesville, they use sustainable methods and community-focused events to redefine local wine culture. Their vision: to “sip outside the vines” and cultivate joy, connection, and vibrancy through wine.
