    Theopolis Vineyards was founded in 2003 by Theodora Lee—widely known as Theo‑patra, “Queen of the Vineyards.” A seasoned San Francisco trial lawyer and Texas native, she pursued her winemaking passion by planting Petite Sirah on 20 acres in Mendocino. Theo‑patra emphasizes handcrafted, terroir‑driven wines, fermented and aged with minimal intervention to showcase the unique character of Yorkville Highlands. She also champions diversity in the industry, funding scholarships at UC Davis and breaking barriers as a Black female winemaker
