  • Meet the Founder

Glenn Thomas, grandson of John Lee Hooker, co-founded John Lee Hooker Legacy Spirits with his mother, Zakiya Hooker, in 2023. Inspired by cherished memories of sharing bourbon with his grandfather, Glenn sought to create a spirit that embodies the essence of John Lee Hooker's music and legacy. Collaborating with Bardstown Bourbon Company, they developed Boogie Chillen' Bourbon "1948" to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the iconic song "Boogie Chillen'."
